Potatoes Au Gratin

Makes: 3 qt

Required Dishes:

  • 9x13 pan
  • Small saucepan or something

Required Ingredients:

  • ~6 medium russet potatoes
  • 3 cups of milk
  • 8 oz of sharp cheddar
  • 4 tbsp of butter
  • 4 tbsp of flour
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • ~¼ tsp of garlic powder
  • 3 tbsp of dry minced garlic

Steps:

  • Butter a 9x13 baking dish.
  • Peel and slice 2 (maybe 3) potatoes into ~⅛ inch, maybe a little thicker, slices.
  • Spread slices across the bottom of the pan.
  • Mix everything else except a little cheese, melt it all, and spread a third over the potatoes.
  • Slice up another potato or two and spread it out.
  • Pour another third of the sauce over it.
  • Slice up the rest of the potatoes and spread them.
  • Pour the rest of the sauce over it.
  • Sprinkle a little cheese.
  • Bake at 400° for 55 minutes.
